5 TIPS TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS RUN MORE EFFICIENTLY

Are you a small business entrepreneur with hordes of tasks piled up, no matter how many “to do” lists you make?  It’s always the little stuff that gets pushed to the bottom of those lists.  Completing these small tasks is essential to your small business and will make a huge difference in running your business.  Here are 5 tips to help your business run more efficiently:

Update Your Social Media Profiles

Assess your social media sites to see if there is any missing or outdated information.  You might need to simply update your bio or change your profile picture.

Simply Google

Google yourself or your business.  See where you rank on the search pages.  Learn if there is anything being said about you and your business.  Set up Google Alerts for your business name, you, your competitors and whatever else you want to keep up with.  You will be notified when something is posted.

Repurpose Your Research

If you have researched a project in the past for a lecture, article or blog post, dust those off and reuse them in a different format.  Here are a few suggestions for recycling those things:

Summarize your article or blog to use as status updates on social networks.

Repost your article as a blog and provide a link to your post in your status.

Repurpose your articles and submit to article directories.

Hoot your own horn

Create a HootSuite account and schedule status updates in advance to engage your audience. Monitor wall posts and tweets located in one place for follow up.

Say “thank you”

Even in this technological age, a hand-written note is still the best way to say thank you for that wonderful interview or the invitation to attend that star-studded important function.  This small gesture sets you apart from the rest.

These are simple, very important, time-consuming, small tasks many people put off.  These tasks make a huge difference in marketing your business.  If you feel you don’t have time to take care of these things, consider outsourcing them to me, as your virtual assistant.  This will allow you to concentrate on revenue-generating tasks instead of administrative tasks.  Sound good?  Contact me to schedule your free 20 minute consultation to discuss how we can work together to keep up with these things.
